Skirting Around

Lately, I have been very much into separates; namely skirt sets. Possibly even easier than dresses or a jumpsuit, sets have been extremely popular over the past year. Initially, plus women were only left to seek out a matching set from independent designers and/or Etsy. Thankfully, brands have started to take notice and offer items that we want. I wanted to show you all two opposite outfits; one for day and one for night. Both are equally comfortable and super easy to wear/style.

First up, we have this set from Eshakti.com. They have recently started their "Contempo" line, which offers crop top skirt sets, dresses with cutouts and tribal prints. I'm personally loving the direction this line is going in and all pieces can be customized just for you.

The anchor print added a nautical vibe, so I decided to pair them with my striped sandals from SCHUTZ. I purchased these last summer when they didn't offer an online store.

Next, we have this floral set from Grisel. I fell in love with the print (shocker) and was so happy that I was able to purchase before it sold out.
*The waist on the skirt needs some tweaking; it does not sit flat. Perhaps if it had been sewn all the way around, it would be a better fit. I had to constantly "fix" it in order to have lay straight and to stay in place.

I plan on making this my go-to "white party" outfit this summer, once I have the waist fixed. (Hey, the background is white; close enough!). I paired this with my Anouk pumps for a clean and simple finish; I normally prefer sleeveless items with an open toe but lately I've been loving a pointy toe pump with just about everything.

I can't wait to pair each of these skirt sets with different items; 4 pieces provide endless options. As always, thanks for reading!

  5. YES GAWD! You look absolutely fabulous in both outfits. Your hair though! Awesome sauce!

I adore the floral combo on you. My body type would only allow me to rock seps if the bottom is skater. Le sigh.

    Have a great weekend!
