This evening, I met up with the always fun Monique (CC) at the 10th anniversary of Torrid. (Sidenote: I'm still getting used to this whole blogging "thing"; I never take pics of who I'm with, where I am, etc etc. I will get better; I promise). I did not purchase anything; I rarely buy from Torrid these days. The 1 item I was looking for was not there. I will be very honest: when looking at disposable fashion, F21 is the way to go. If I'm only going to wear something 2-3 times, I would much rather pay $20 for it rather than $58. While I do believe Torrid has a few pieces that may be worth the $$$, (mainly blazers and jeans) I have not fallen in love with their pieces in a very long time. I remember when that Torrid opened: I went to the grand opening and was soooo excited about my options. The brands they used to carry, the style of clothing, the uniqueness...it was great. Hopefully one day, they can return to this. Anyway, on to my outfit: fabric-gifted, bodysuit-asos, jeans-f21, wedges-aldo, earrings/rings-etsy, bag-big buddha.

I want your wedges. Ok thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo happy I found your blog. Your sense of style is amazing! Just bananas. I felt tha same way about Torrid, but I always attributed it to my "thrifty" ways. I love F21 but being closer to middle age( by that I mean 40ish) I was scared to try their line.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to have found your blog. I love looking at your fashion.
ReplyDeletethanks so much ladies!
ReplyDeletekimberly: i don't believe in "dressing my age" and since i'm a fashion junkie, i shop everywhere. you can find something "age appropriate" almost anywhere. don't be scared girl! you just may find something you like!
I love those wedges. Now you make me want to go back to Aldo and buy them. I agree with you 100% on Torrid. I don't get as excited as I used to either. I love F21. Despite that I hope you had fun.
