Fever in the City

My new motto when shopping is "If I don't love it, I won't be buying". When I say love, I mean you may give a slight gasp and do a small jig. This has tremendously helped my shopping habit and helps me be completely happy with my wardrobe. I am very much a believer in quality over quantity, so if I set out on a shopping trip and only purchase one item, that totally works for me. I would rather have 5 items I can't get enough of, than 15 that are just "ok". I found this dress during one of my daily Hautelook adventures. No, it's not plus and no, House of Harlow does not make plus sizes; however I refuse to limit myself to what the number on the tag states. This is a kimono and can fit a variety of sizes. Keep an open mind while shopping and step outside your box a bit. I can almost guarantee you'll be pleasantly surprised.

The dress included a matching slip dress, but I wanted to add my own spin by adding denim shorts. Next time I wear it, I'll wear it the way it was intended. I also think a catsuit would be amazing under and may try one for the colder months.

This was another look from my New York trip and I absolutely loved it. What say you?

  6. Only downsides here was that I’m not sure if they were expecting such a crowd as they did not have nearly enough servers and sometimes it would take a really long time for service guy to come. But at event venues they tried to keep a smiles on their face.
