Fashion confessions

Although it may be hard to believe, I get stuck in fashion ruts and can refuse to step out of my personal box. I've always been a huge fan of dresses because well fitting pants are insanely difficult to find; I become frustrated, I sigh deeply, give up and buy a dress. This can get old, so I've been forcing myself to work harder at buying separates; mainly pants. We all know I love a jumpsuit, but those fit differently than just a pair of trousers. For the past year, I've had many more fails than successes; however I suck it up and put on my big girl pants (see what I did there?).
I found these on a street corner in Harlem; a very nice Jamaican lady had the nerve to try and sell them for $25. I told her I would give her $8 (avid thrifters know what a vendor has paid for an item), she smiled and handed me my pants. Victory!

P.S. I'm a sucker for vintage prints with a black background. I fell in love with these pants mainly because of how the flowers just pop off the black.

*Maybe one day I'll find the jacket that came with these pants; you vintage lovers know exactly what I'm talking about ;-)

  9. Why was I never following you? Anyway I can so relate to you with getting out of your comfort zone. Lord knows I love dresses and skirts but I am trying to gradually play around with styles and switch things up. Love those pants, where in Harlem did you thrift? I need to be there lol.
